Service Description

Students ages 11 and up will focus on drawing techniques, relevant art history plus use and care of materials as they pursue fun, challenging exercises and occasional projects. Subject matter will be meaningful as it is student choice.  Lessons may include these drawing media: graphite, water soluble graphite, chalk pastels, oil pastels, markers, Ink and dip pens, colored pencil and mixed media. This class is not project oriented but more geared to development of skills. A few of the basic techniques taught: use of value & shading to create form, ruler & measuring, image transfer, 1 point & 2 point perspective, beginner anatomy & drawing of figure and head, understanding & use of color wheel.... much more.
