Service Description

Students ages 9 and up will learn drawing & painting techniques & relevant art history plus use/care of materials as they pursue fun, challenging projects. Subject matter will be meaningful as it is student choice within a specified theme /media for each project.  Lessons may include dry media: graphite, chalk pastels, oil pastels, colored pencil, paper /fabric collage & wet media: watercolor, acrylic paint & printmaking. We may mix media & may do a 3-D project. A few of the basic techniques taught: use of shading, ruler & measuring, image transfer, perspective, cutting/safety skills, brush selection and control, understanding & use of color wheel.... much more. Registration/supplies deposit ($65 non-refundable) includes all supplies for the semester unless student desires something unusual or oversized. See sibling discount coupon at checkout.
