We go outside. We crawl & we creep, we look up and we look down & we look all around. 

We use magnifiers to examine and collect itty bitty things! 

Those things we rarely notice will be our inspiration!  What will you find?

We create art, even some kinda REALLY BIG THINGS... from  those itty bitty things we carefully see.

And we make drawings and paint them... we might even paint some actual bugs!

Camp #9 - "Yes, THIS really is Art"! - ages 8 & up

Wow!  GROW your imagination!

Did you know you can make art using toast?  We will do that!  Tattoo a banana? Yep! We will use quality art papers and toast (really... like you eat), wood, actual bananas, melted plastic, all kinds of paint, & almost any art supply you can imagine, plus recycled & found objects!  Make your own t-shirt, build a 3D assemblage, create a "Chilhuly sculpture"!  You'll not get this at school! 

Non-stop art fun & also kinda weird!

We'll create art using innovative techniques inspired by these the famous artists of the 20th Century and more: 

• Yayoi Kasama - For the Love of Dots

• Dale Chihuly, Glass Artist

• Phil Hansen, Playful Problem Solver

• Jasper Johns, Hot Wax Painting

Teen Painting Workshop - Ages 13-17

Intensive 3 day painting skills workshop for aspiring teen artists.  

Attendees will create an original acrylic painting of their choice and will come away with solid ways to integrate traditional Old Masters skills with innovative techniques in use by current Contemporary artists!  We'll dive into: Color & mixing colors. Underpainting. Palette layout and keeping your acrylics wet. Transfer techniques. Non-traditional mark making.  Glazes and mediums. So much more!

The Aug. 11-13,  mid-week,  3-day workshop will be 4 hours from 12:30 to 4:30 & strictly limited to six teens age 13-17.  All materials included.  $150.
